Name: Dane Kahal
Age: 48
Gender: Male
Money: N/A
Bag: N/A
Appearance: Dane stands at a height of 6'7", and weighs at around 300 lbs. of pure muscle. As such, he is a muscular man, which makes him intimidating at first. Also true of this, is that he is a physically strong man. His skin is a medium shade of tan, due to the climate of Cianwood. He has a short, thick neck, and his nose curves outwards instead of in. Dane has the typical blue eyes and blonde hair. His hair is short, and slicked back. His face remains unshaven, having a full beard, but not one that hangs off his face. His beard is about one inch long. Aside from his head, Dane's body is free of hair. He has a large scar that goes diagonally down his back, from the top right of his back down to the bottom left. Another thing that could be considered a scar is his permanent black eye on his left eye. Because of this, Dane has a somewhat harder time seeing with his left eye.
His gym leader attire is quite simple, due to the fact that he runs a fighting type gym. Dane wears a pair of white martial arts pants, which are obviously getting worn out. As with other highly experienced martial artists, a black belt is worn around his waist. He is almost always seen barefoot wihile training or in the gym. Normally, Dane doesn't wear the top half of his martial arts uniform, nor any shirt at all. If he does, it is usually around his shoulders, and also while he is being challenged by a trainer or simply inactive. His second set of attire is not worn as much, since he is usually training or in the gym, and more for doing errands and such. He wears a short sleeved, red t-shirt and a black pair of jeans. A brown, worn out belt with a gray buckle is worn around his waist. Dane wears a pair of combat boots on his feet as well. In either attire, he wears his marriage ring, but not so much while training or in the gym, for fear of it being broken.
Personality: While doing his job and training, Dane is a serious man. He doesn't let almost anything or anyone bother him, unless it's of real importance. If someone asks him something, he'll continue doing what he was doing, though keeps an ear open so he isn't exactly blowing the person off. This man doesn't take goofing off too well half the time. Being a teacher to students at his gym, being strict also comes with being serious. Dane keeps a straight face with this trait, and he his either emotionless and watchful, or angered and shouting orders. This is most likely what a trainer will see if he or she challenges him for the Storm Badge.
Being serious aside, Dane is actually a kind man while not on the job. Half the time when he's in the gym though, he will make small talk with some for a few short moments, or when greating those that he knows well. He knows fully well not to start yelling at someone if he or she is on the verge of snapping back at someone. In his mind, some of his students and the younger trainers that challenge him are kind of like his own children. Focusing on when he isn't on the job, Dane is easy to talk with and a fun guy too. He's like any human being, as he has the capability to laugh and take a joke. However, he isn't gullible enough to believe a lie, unless someone can lie extremely well.
Despite his immense stature, Dane is by no means an idiot. He doesn't let his strength get to his head, and can restrain himself from being overconfident. His experience with pokemon has led him to know battle strategies that can put up a challenge. Though he works on ridding his strategies of weaknesses, Dane does tend to continue using the same strategies for challenging trainers, as some of the weaknesses are difficult to exploit. He can tell when something is wrong, and Dane knows how dangerous a situation can become.
He does have a flaw to him though- he has a short temper. Small things like his students goofing off, trainers with a bad attitude, or his two sons misbehaving causes Dane to start yelling and shouting more. He resists becoming hostile due to his temper, but some things just take Dane over the edge. The worst thing to do in front of Dane, is to hurt his wife and kids. Once that happens, Dane can't control himself and now is when he becomes hostile, and doesn't care how badly the person gets beaten up by him.
With his short temper also comes the fact that he can be quite stubborn. Not in the sense that he acts like a whiney kid, but not many things change his mind, aside from his own choices. He insists for example, on training extensively, despite the fact that it can put some strain on his body. Dane will sometimes ignore a person's reasoning for their point of view on something, which does make him a bit senile, but hey, he's a middle aged guy!
In private with his family, Dane is somewhat different, but not too much. He tends to find a way to mess around with his two sons a bit, all in good fun. Due to the fact that he sometimes over works himself, he is seen to be more lax than usual. It's not too uncommon to find Dane snoozing on the couch in his own house, which is actually part of the gym. Of course, at times his wife interrupts his naps, and Dane tends to take orders from his wife too. As noted by his short temper, he is protective of his family, sometimes to a point where he gets a little too overprotective.

Pokemon: , Male
Level: 29
Move List:
Pokemon Personality: He usually remains stationary and quiet, the only real movement is seen when he is fighting, eating, training, or getting an order from Dane. Hariyama tends to find a reason for disliking someone, except for those that he knows he can trust, or gains his trust. That being said, he'll also tend to intimidate someone to stay away from him, as he likes his personal space. In battle though, he prefers an up close and personal approach to things. Aside from these things though, he actually dislikes moving around. In the past and even the present though, Hariyama enjoys being around young kids, as he had an enjoyable time when both of Dane's sons were little tikes.
Pokemon: , Male
Level: 28
Move List:
Personality: For a Primeape, he isn't much of a rage freak. He does enjoy being active, but usually is seen with some kind of goofy smile on his face, which at times doesn't help. In battle, this face does become serious, as he knows that it isn't a time for games. Primeape enjoys food, and usually will try to get a second helping if he can, and somehow he's not a fatty yet. He also likes being around Dane's wife, mainly because of the cooking. As active as he is though, Primeape actually sleeps a little longer than most, and as odd as it is for a fighting type, likes soft things. For an odd note, whenever he is around either of Dane's sons, Laus or Tomonari, Primeape always seems to do a little co-op mischief with them....
Pokemon: , Male
Level: 29
Move List:
Personality: Machoke is essentially full of himself. He has a big ego, acting like he's the toughest thing around. Because of this, he trains hard to try and prove that. He has a tendency to bother weaker/younger pokemon as if he knows it all, and tries to start a fight with Hariyama half the time, though does it when Dane isn't around. Machoke's trainer always seems to keep an eye on him, and the pokemon knows to listen well. If it's a losing situation, Machoke does attempt to keep going, but usually is given an order to take it like a man and accept defeat.

Level: 31
Move List:
Personality: Hitmonchan takes training seriously, and probably is the one that takes second for training the hardest. He willingly accepts any challenge that comes his way, as long as he knows it'll be a fair fight. He takes strategy as a higher priority more than anything, making him a tough pokemon. Unlike Machoke, however, Hitmonchan knows when it's all over, and accepts defeat, using it as an excuse to train harder. In all honesty though, he doesn't like kids all that much. Also, Hitmonchan isn't really fond of eating either.
Pokemon: , Male
Level: 32
Move List:
(Body Slam, Mud Shot, and Belly Drum were learned while he was a Poliwhirl.)
Personality: Poliwrath is Dane's final, and most powerful pokemon in his crew. He has been with the man as his first pokemon, and trains and fights with all his might. Poliwrath is actually a cold, ruthless pokemon while in battle, and outside of a fight, is still a mean one. However, is mean acts do make him unlikeable as well, and even Dane has some trouble with him. Despite this, Poliwrath will gladly defend his master, and the family of his master. Usually, he is seen standing next to the gym leader, and even when standing still, shows up a good deal of power.

History:
Dane's Parents-
Dane's father was a man named Sabero Kahal, who worked in the Cianwood gym as an instructor. He was close in rank to the gym leader, though was probably the third strongest trainer in the gym. By his side was a Lucario that he had raised since his youth. He focused on becoming stronger while in the gym, and never once thought about getting married to someone. Sabero tended to isolate himself while his work in the gym was done, and while he did at time go outside and train up a bit, he was simply a hermit. Though the man did wish to leave Cianwood and travel around for a bit at least once in his life, his heart and soul remained with the small island in which he lived and grew up in.
The mother of Dane was a woman named Rebecca Dashfield. She was an experienced trainer, only using the two pokemon she ever acquired, a Meganium and Pidgeot. She was known for being a vicious fighter, though of course, wasn't known even on a region wide scale. It was mainly rumors of her vicious attacks and skill that went around to a few trainers. Rebecca didn't care who cried, as long as she won. Being an independent woman, she as well did not expect to get married. Every proposal that a man gave her, she immediately refused it with a punch to his face. Despite her years of pokemon training since she was sixteen, Rebecca has only ever acquired the first four gym badges. It became boring for her, so she decided to take a long break until she was up for it again. That being said, Rebecca ended up going to Cianwood to try and get the Storm Badge.
The first time these two every met was inside the Cianwood Gym early in the morning, when it first opened. Sabero had just arrived at the gym, but Rebecca had decided to come here early, going to bed a bit earlier the night before. At first, both of them immediately had a small arguement, which didn't last long as the gym leader had appeared. Even so, Rebecca was persistent with yelling at Sabero. She did not back down in a conflict, and did what she wanted in order to win, except cheating. Because of this, she insisted on first pitching her Pidgeot against Sabero's Lucario. With his mind set on proving a point to this woman, Sabero fully agreed, and the fight would take place inside of the gym. What neither of them knew though, was that things wouldn't exactly go either way.
So the fierce pokemon battle had begun. Each side of the battle had immediately went after the other, and becase of type issues, neither would be making super effective hits, making it a long one as well. Each pokemon had great speed, so half the battle was just each pokemon attempting to catch up with the other. Of course, Rebecca's Pidgeot could go faster, but the gym probably wasn't suited for Mach 2 speed. Sabero's Lucario was unable to fight and chase at the same times, as he would lose energy quickly if he did so. Towards the end of the battle, both Rebecca and Sabero were about to go strangle each other if the fight didn't satisfy them. For an attempt at a final strike, Pidgeot was ordered to use Aerial Ace, while Lucario was commanded to use Aura Sphere. Pidgeot dove at her opponent while Lucario charged up his attack, and once Pidgeot was just about to strike, Lucario unleashed his Aura Sphere. A small 'boom' was created by the intersection of both attacks, and when the dust cleared, it ended in a draw, as both pokemon were down.
Rebecca was angered at the draw, and couldn't say anything else. With that, she stormed out of the gym, furious with how things went. Sabero, however, had begun to think about her, moreso than he normally would. So, later on in the day after his Lucario healed up mostly, the man went to the pokemon center, inferring that she went there. Low and behold, Rebecca was luckily, and he faced her once more. He began talking to her, though she listened hesitantly. She held grudges for a while against people. As he talked, Sabero began to think some more. Oddly, he began having more feelings for this woman, and after talking some more, he did what he thought he'd never do. Sabero proposed to Rebecca in marriage. At first, she was about to put a fist in his face, but this time, couldn't get herself to do so. Seemingly without hesitation, she shockingly agreed to it, and so, Sabero and Rebecca were now married.
About a month afterwards, Rebecca became pregnant with their first and only child. Both her and Sabero were only thirty years old, but knew what they would be in for. For nine months, her belly became bigger, and they hoped to have a healthy baby. After those seemingly short nine months, Rebecca went into labor. Longs hours of pain awaited her, and with this woman, it also came with long hours of swearing and threatening to murder someone. Sabero stayed there with his wife, and after it was all done, he had a weak stomach for mass amounts of blood, and fainted for a few minutes. He luckily became concious again, and took sight of his newborn son. This baby was named Dane Kahal, and the proudest thing either of them ever had in their lifetimes.
Childhood through mid-teen years-
For the first six years of his life, Dane's only real experience with pokemon were the three that his parents owned combined. It was a good thing too, as it opened him up to more kinds of pokemon than just fighting types, though Sabero's Lucario was half fighting. He loved pokemon, like most young children, and awaited the day he obtained his first pokemon. He was patient about it though, and while he was young, Dane was in a semi-strict upbringing. He was actually fine with this, as it would come in great use once he began to train pokemon. Dane had become quite fond of the Cianwood gym leader, though only knew about him through his father, and talk around town. This merely sparked his passion even more, and nothing was going to change that.
His first pokemon he obtained was through his father. Sabero had thought about what he would get Dane for his eighth birthday, and took a look at a catalog of pokemon. He decided to order a Poliwag, as he normally would go catch one, but it was a freshwater pokemon. The order went through, and came a couple days before the birthday. Once that day had come, Sabero and Rebecca confronted Dane with the pokeball. He took it out of their hands as he was told, and unleashed the pokemon inside of it. Upon sight of the Poliwag, he was delighted to have it, and oddly enough, so was this pokemon. They didn't get along half the time at first, but slowly managed to get used to each other. At this moment, Dane asked his father if he could start training with the man. In an almost automatic response, Sabero had given the okay for it.
It was split into two different parts. Dane would first go with his father to the gym to learn martial arts, as even with having pokemon, a pokemon battle couldn't always be done. In this case, fighting type pokemon caught the attention of Dane, and became more attracted to them than other types of pokemon. However, that didn't stop him from taking care of Poliwag, as this was his first pokemon. Also, he was told that one day, that same Poliwag could become a Poliwrath, a part fighting type. This pleased Dane, and that's where the other half of his training came in. His mother Rebecca trained Dane in pokemon battling, and this strengthened the bond between the boy and his water type friend. Years went by with Dane learning new things, and getting better at what he was doing.
When he reached the age of fourteen, Dane was now a teenager, and with plans of now going out into the world. His Poliwag still had not evolved yet, but knew it would happen in due time. He obtained the courage one day to ask his parents' permission to leave Cianwood, and go out in the world on his own to train pokemon. At first, both of them wanted Dane to wait a while longer, but he was a little stubborn about it. It took about one month for him to convince his parents to let him go, but in the end, it all worked out. He was given some money and a couple items to get himself started, as the world would be a harsh one for a beginning trainer. But he had no problem with it, and so, Dane went with Poliwag to go out in the world of pokemon to get stronger.
Only about two weeks after going out on his own, Dane and Poliwag were out in a field, when they stumbled upon a Makuhita. It hadn't noticed them at first, but the duo quietly followed it. The wild pokemon had felt as if someone was watching him, and how right he was. However, Makuhita wasn't given a chance to run away, and instead, had to face Dane and Poliwag in a battle. As much of a fight as Makuhita put up, the teenager was skilled using his Poliwag in battle, and ended up weakening the wild pokemon rather quickly. Towards the end of the fight, Makuhita was about to run away, but didn't get a chance to yet again. Instead, Dane had used a pokeball, and caught the pokemon in the spherical machine. Three shakes went by, and it eventually stopped shaking. This moment had Dane acquire his second pokemon, this time through a little hard work.
Mid teen years to about thirty years old-
For around three years after capturing Makuhita, Dane simply traveled around with his two pokemon, getting his pokemon and himself stronger. He simply went between Olivine City and Goldenrod City, as it wasn't in his interest to go around gathering badges. Dane knew fully well that he could only get so far with only a couple types of pokemon any ways. It was near Goldenrod specifically that he came upon a Mankey, one that actually came up to him. The little guy wanted some of Dane's food, and started looking through his stuff on the pokemon's own accord. This caused Dane to become angry, and threw Mankey off of his things. It did spark an arguement, and Dane ended up fighting Mankey with his Poliwag again. It was a troublesome fight, and Poliwag was somewhat injured in the end, but with that, Dane had thrown a pokeball, and captured the Mankey. He could've simply left it there, but decided against it.
Dane was perfectly fine with training on his own for six years before searching for a new pokemon, as this was becoming a habit of sorts. This time, he changed his training location to Mount Mortar permanately, and over the next two years, his Makuhita evolved into Hariyama, his Mankey into Primeape, and finally, Poliwag evolved into a Poliwhirl. For the third year, when he was twenty-four, Dane ventured into Mount Mortar directly, deciding to take the risk. He walked around the mountain for a good two hours, when he crossed the path of a Machop. The pokemon was actually a violent one, and with a big ego no less, and attacked Dane. Poliwhirl was sent out to fight Machop, and managed to get the pokemon down. However, an unlucky thing occurred, as the Machop evolved into a Machoke. Poliwhirl was knocked away, as he lost some concentration, and sent back into her pokemon. Before Dane could do anything, the Machoke punched him in the gut, and the man fell a bit easily. He wasn't about to take a chance, and fled out of the mountain, and away from the Machoke.
A few weeks later, Dane was tempted to go back in again, but decided against it. He could defeat that Machoke, but wanted to make sure he could beforehand. Instead, he wound up encountering a Tyrouge, who wanted a battle, plain and simple. Fulfilling the pokemon's request, Dane could see that this guy was being serious, and not egotistical like that Machoke was. He called out Primeape to fight it, but the Tyrouge didn't back down. It was a fairly even match, despite the fact that Primeape was fully evolved. As with other battles, Dane weakened the Tyrouge, but hesitated to throw a pokeball. However, the pokemon noticed the sphere in the man's hand, and actually gave Dane a nod, wanting him to catch Tyrouge himself. The pokemon wanted to get stronger, and Dane could see that. He of course wound up capturing the Tyrouge, and having a fourth pokemon to train. Dane waited for more years, however, before going back into Mount Mortar.
Dane was now twenty eight years old when he went back into Mount Mortar, with one goal in mind. That was to find that same Machoke, and get back at the pokemon's ego. He didn't travel too far into the mountain, and luckily for him, he encountered the same Machoke. This time though, Dane was ready to give him a fight. Hariyama was sent out to do battle with Machoke, and the fight was on. The man watched and gave orders to Hariyama as the two duked it out, but both pokemon got too close to Dane. Machoke had decided to use plain brute force, and threw a large, sharp rock. Dane had his back turned as he tried to get a short distance away, and the rock missed Hariyama, and smashed into Dane's back. From this hit, it scratched the man's back, and left him with some difficulty moving. Hariyama though ended up getting a hard enough strike on Machoke, and knocked the opponent down hard. Dane, out of pure rage at being hit, threw a pokeball at Machoke, and as the pokemon went inside, Dane was close enough to hold onto it as it shook. The man was insistent on keeping the pokemon inside of it, and his luck payed off. Machoke was now stuck inside the pokeball, and Dane had his last pokemon that he would ever catch. He couldn't walk too easily, and Hariyama helped his trainer out of the mountain. Dane's back, however, now would have a large scar, and would remain there.
For one more year, Dane was alone in the area around Mount Mortar, and Tyrouge had recently evolved into Hitmonchan. However, this year wouldn't involve having to fight a pokemon. Instead, when he was twenty-nine years old, Dane met a photographer, a woman named Hikari Takahashi. She had a Drowzee with her as her partner, and stumbled upon Dane training. She had tripped over and lost grip of her camera, but Dane had wound up catching both her and her camera before both plummetted to the ground. After this, a short conversation arouse between them, but turned out longer than Dane originally thought it would last. He became attracted to this woman, and vice versa. Both of them ended up traveling together, but during their travels, Dane began having other thoughts.
Both of them were in Olivine City, and during the one year anniversary of their metting, Dane started a long talk with Hikari. He was feeling nervous about this too, but Hikari was a kind woman, and helped the large man calm down. Afterwards, Dane flat out proposed to her at night in front of the sea. She was a little shocked at this, but with a smile, Hikari agreed to it. That being said, the two of them too a boat over to Cianwood, and back to Dane's hometown. At the age of thirty, Dane and Hikari had gotten married. However, with this marriage, he needed to find a job to support them. Another thought went through his mind, and Dane decided to try and take over the Cianwood gym, by defeating the current gym leader.
Age thirty through present-
A month after their marriage, Hikari became pregnant with their first child. Dane, however, was somewhat more focused on becoming the gym leader, and had set up a match with the Cianwood gym leader. The night before, however, Hikari had secretly taken Dane's Poliwhirl somewhere, and talked to him. She had acquired a Water Stone sometime in her travels, and wanted Poliwhirl to evolve in order to help Dane complete his goal. Poliwhirl at first was skeptical, but the passion she felt for her husband was noticed by Poliwhirl. The pokemon nodded its head in agreement to this, and Hikari used the Water Stone on him. Now, Poliwhirl was fully evolved into Poilwrath, and would be a nice surprise for Dane. In the morning of the match the next day, Dane was told by Hikari what she did, and didn't know what to say. He was a little upset over how random of an act that was, but accepted it, and went off to face the gym leader.
Upon arrival at the gym, Dane was greeted by his father, Sabero. Neither of them had seen each other for a while, as it wasn't too often that Dane kept in contact with his mother and father. Sabero was the referee for the match, and so, Dane began his duel with the gym leader. The battle was hard and fierce, and lasted for quite a while. Hikari was on the sidelines watching her husband fight, and watched as both the gym leader's pokemon and Dane's pokemon were wiped out one by one. During the fight, however, the gym leader used a Hitmonlee, and Dane had out his Hitmonchan. The fight dealt out more than what was needed, as Hitmonlee's kick was dodged by Hitmonchan. However, the pokemon didn't stop, and was coming for Dane. Hikari could bear to watch this, and got in the way of the attack. Dane wasn't about to let his wife get hurt, and for the sake of guarding his wife, Hitmonlee's kick hit Dane right in his left eye. it wasn't bleeding, but turned out that he now had a permanent, black eye. That didn't stop him from finishing the battle though, and continued fighting the gym leader. In the end, after a near loss, Dane's Poliwrath ended up winning the fight, and Dane became the new Cianwood gym leader.
Nine months later, Hikari had given birth to their first son. The baby boy went by the name of Laus Emile Kahal. The boy looked more like his father, as the baby had blonde hair and blue eyes just like Dane. For a while after this, Dane and Hikari focused on raising this child, despite the fact that Dane was busy with being a gym leader. After three years of taking care of Laus, Dane and Hikari began talking of having another baby. They decided on it, all the while continuing to care of Laus. It was while he was raising Laus that Dane showed off the more caring side of himself. He would always make sure to take the child out of Hikari's hands for a bit, and even took the baby boy into the gym when it was a quite day.
Three years later, Hikari had become pregnant again. This time though, they decided that it would be their last child. For nine months once more, Dane and Hikari waited for the arrival of their child, but this time, also had to take care of a three year old Laus. It was easy though, since there were two of them to watch over their eldest child. Though, Hikari's Drowzee did have to use Hypnosis on Laus a couple times to calm the child down. Other than that, the day came when Hikari went into labor. This time, another baby boy was born, under the name of Tomonari Joshua Kahal. Dane couldn't be prouder of his two boys, and gave each of them the same care and treatment. Especially when both boys grew up and started walking! That being said, despite how risky it was, Dane still insisted on occasionally taking both of his sons into the gym at points.
Five years after Tomonari was born, Dane had decided to invest in Excel. It would give them more money to help raise Dane and Hikari's boys, as well have some extra for emergencies. Aside from his gym leader business, Dane managed to raise both kids the same way as any other father would, and guarded them and his wife with his life. Other than that, the most recent thing that happened was his son, Tomonari, asking about becoming a trainer. Dane at first was unsure, as he had a great bond with his younger son, but decided that it was best not to latch onto things. So, Dane had Laus escort Tomonari, with Hikari's Drowzee for protection, to Professor Elm's lab all the way in New Bark Town. The man hoped that he raised his kids right, and is now simply continuing his job as the gym leader of Cianwood.
Roleplay Example: Sitting there at one end of the gym was Dane, with the top half of his white uniform over his shoulders. He was sitting cross legged, and his arms folded ovr his massive chest. A serious expression was on his face as he watched his students train hard, his mouth remaining straight and unmoving. His eyes moved slowly as he scanned the gym, watching for any lazy students, as well as a challenger or someone, the only other people he could think of was his family. The students had given out a shout, indicating that they were finished. Dane's eyes squinted harshly, and it was best to not show off any agression when he got like this. Well, part of it was that he needed to strain his left eye a bit to see better with it. A few moments of thinking went by, and Dane stood up, his arms folding over his chest once more. "That was nothing compared to what I know you can actually do. I'll have the instructors take over, but none of you better slack off! Don't make me come back and find you all screwing around, understood?!", the man shouted to his students. A loud, echoing, "Yes sir!", was responded by his students, and Dane gave a small nod of approval. He then turned to his right, and headed through a sliding door into the home area of the gym, where he lived with his family.
However, when he first took a step in, something wasn't right. It was a little quite around here, and Dane wasn't too fond of that. His eyes gave out mean glare as he scanned the room, and took a step foward. Nothing had happened so far, but the man noticed a quick shine beneath him, "Hmm?" It was apparent that it was a string, hooked up to yet another mischievious plot to trick the old man. Dane sighed, and gave it a light kick with his foot, and a water balloon flew right past him, hitting a wall. Out from behind the couch, his sons Laus and Tomonari, and his Primeape popped out and pointed at Dane, yelling, "OWNED!" Well, Primeape would say that if he could talk, but anyways, Dane gave out a growl of sorts. Opening their eyes, Laus, Tomonari, and Primeape realized that they had missed. Their eyes shifted over to the now wet wall, and back to Dane. Well, this wasn't going to end well.
"What in the hell do you three think you're doing?!", Dane shouted at them, and proceeded to walk over to them menacingly. He first looked over to his Primeape, and said, "You better get back out there and stop screwing around, or else you aren't getting a second helping tonight, ya hear?" The pokemon, upon hearing about food, squealed in shock and rushed back into the gym. "And you two...", the man said as he towered over his two sons.
"Uh......relax Pops. We were just kidding around, that's all!", Laus said to his father. He was the oldest son, and actually the taller of the two, so it might have been his idea to do this.
"Heh heh......we're in trouble, right Papa?", Tomonari said. He had a look on his face that meant he knew fully well that they were in trouble.
"Oh you two are in for it now!", Dane growled at the teenage boys. Without a reaction from his sons, Dane grabbed them both up in his left arm, got the two of them into a headlock. He knew how to do that with two people by now, especially his two boys. Then with his right hand, he made it into a large fist, and began giving them both a hard nuggie on the head, his fist moving rapidly between both heads. He continued this, and said, "Damn cheap tricks you two always pull, eh? Your old man isn't about to fall for these again!" The man gave out a small chuckle as he did so. He didn't exactly enjoy them doing this, but had to admit, it entertained Dane still to this day. He let them go after about five minutes, and placed one hand on each of his sons' head. Then, he bent down to Laus's height, and told them, "You two better go clean that mess up before your mother gets home, or else she'll skin you alive!" Quick nods were given to their father, and Laus and Tomonari went to go wipe up the water that had splashed on the wall.
Dane sighed and shook his head, letting out a laugh now. Ah well, he didn't expect any more of those two. Despite their now failed attempts at tricking the gym leader, Dane still had to love his kids. They were good boys, and he knew it. Now though, he turned and went back towards the sliding door to the gym. Then, Dane opened it up, and as he walked in, shouted fiercely to his students, "LINE UP!"

Level: 29
Move List:
- Knock Off
- Belly Drum
- Arm Thrust
- Vital Throw
- Smelling Salt
Level: 28
Move List:
- Seismic Toss
- Rage
- Karate Chop
- Focus Energy
- Fury Swipes

Move List:
- Focus Energy
- Bulk Up (TM)
- Seismic Toss
- Low Kick
- Karate Chop
Personality: Machoke is essentially full of himself. He has a big ego, acting like he's the toughest thing around. Because of this, he trains hard to try and prove that. He has a tendency to bother weaker/younger pokemon as if he knows it all, and tries to start a fight with Hariyama half the time, though does it when Dane isn't around. Machoke's trainer always seems to keep an eye on him, and the pokemon knows to listen well. If it's a losing situation, Machoke does attempt to keep going, but usually is given an order to take it like a man and accept defeat.

Move List:

- Fire Punch
- Bulk Up (TM)
- Rock Smash (HM)
Personality: Hitmonchan takes training seriously, and probably is the one that takes second for training the hardest. He willingly accepts any challenge that comes his way, as long as he knows it'll be a fair fight. He takes strategy as a higher priority more than anything, making him a tough pokemon. Unlike Machoke, however, Hitmonchan knows when it's all over, and accepts defeat, using it as an excuse to train harder. In all honesty though, he doesn't like kids all that much. Also, Hitmonchan isn't really fond of eating either.

Move List:
- Mud Shot
- Water Gun
- Bulk Up (TM)
- Brick Break (TM)
- Body Slam
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
