Diamond had finished her examination of Sprout Tower's first floor, using Magnemite to keep away any pokemon that would decide to attack. She was in the town only momentarilly to see the construct, she had other things to do in order to get ready to get ready for a first gym battle. True, Magnemite would be enough to challenge the city Gym, but the leader appeared to be out for the moment. So she was examining pokemon in Sprout Tower. Most of them seemed to be getting along with the humans in the tower quite well.
Aside from the Rattatta and Ghastly anyway. Which was one of the reasons she'd decided to wait until night to enter the building. She'd examined it during the day before, with all the pokemon that mimic'd the monks. She'd been considering capturing a Mime Jr., or a Meditite at the time, but had decided against it. Thinking ahead she was considering it again, for use in the fighting gym. Eventually she'd go there, and none of her pokemon were very effective there.
Spinda had Psybeam, but it was a normal type pokemon, and as such not the best of choices. However, she had chosen the building to raise Shuppet. She was a ghost type, which gave her a bit of a disadvantage. However, she needed to come up with a strategy to use with her. "Time to rest Magnemite," she said, returning it to it's ball before tossing Shuppet's. The playful ghost pokemon came from it's ball in a small spin and landed on Diamond's head.
"Ready for a little training?" she asked the small pokemon.
"Shup Shup!" she said in response, and moved out in front of her pretending to look tough. For a minute at least, before she birst into a small fit of laughter. She'd actually considered nicknaming the small pokemon after her sister. She'd decided against it to avoid confusion at home. It faded into the wall and waited there for Diamond to find her.
"Shuppet, come out of there. We're here to train. If you play along I'll let you play with Spinda tomorrow."
"Pet!" the pokemon said, coming out and standing... hovering at attention. Or as close as it could anyway.
