Friendly Visit (Tag: Elayne)

Saphire drained the rest of her ramen and sighed. "Ah..." she said, sighing contentedly. She'd downed almost an eigth of the whole thing that she'd made, and she'd made a very big pot. Dane had another eigth, and the other three split about that much. It was a bit... odd. At least Dane... you expected him to eat that much. There was nothing about Saph that pointed out that she would eat remotely half as much as she did.

"More please!" Saph said, struggling to lift up the large bowl and hold it towards her mother. Elayne rolled her eyes slightly and poured her daughter some more of the soup. One day she was going to blow up like a balloon. Then again, knowing her she'd go jetting off by the time she was ten. At least she'd get plenty of exercise.... She really didn't want her to though.

It was bad enough Gina would probably be leaving soon.... She didn't want her little one to go too. "Thank you. Have you gone to the Department Store yet? I think they might have some training aids you'd like Dane. Not to mention the best selection in the country. Celedon is the only one even close to ours. Or maybe the radio/tv station? They always like doing interviews with Gym leaders and their families."

Gina got a wicked grin on her face as she thought about the last one that had come for an interview. She didn't know that anyone could jump that high or run that fast.... Even if they were being chased by a tauros ridden by a teenager. She'd been grounded for six months, but it'd been worth it.

Dane was still eating his, since he wasn't exactly a fast eater sometimes. However, the man could still eat quite a lot, which is a trait that he passed down to Laus somehow. This man did need the energy for what he does, but wasn't a glutton for food. He chuckled a little when Saphire asked for more of the soup. Even he didn't know that girl stomached all that food! However, sooner or later he would be asking for some more, as Elayne and his wife would expect.

He stopped eating and wiped his mouth with his napkin to answer Elayne. "No, I haven't been there yet. Thanks for the offer, but I don't know if I'll be getting anything there. I would go to the radio station, but it wouldn't be an interview with my family if my two boys weren't there with my wife and I, now would it?", he stated, chuckling a little at the last part. His family was more important to him than his duty as a gym leader, and would enjoy it if he could spend as much time with them as possible, especially before his two sons officially move out of the house. That would be a sad day for Dane, and the man was sure of that. He paused for a few more moments, and then looked up.

"Did I ever mention that Tomo left to be a trainer? Or did my wife beat me to that part?", Dane chuckled. Hikari rolled her eyes and sighed, realizing where Laus, Tomonari, and Dane's Primeape got their trickster habits from. She then spoke up, "I already told Elayne, but I don't think Sam and Gina knew that yet." Hikari then turned her attention to the others, and continued on, "Before Tomo left, Laus started to make bets as to how long he would last on his own. I could've had Dane's Hariyama beat him for that. Ha ha!"

"All depends on the radio show you're going to go on Dane," she said with a grin. "You know those gossip shows... or at least I'm sure you're wife does," she added. She looked over as Samantha started downing the ramen at the same speed as before. "Samantha, either slow down or you're going to bed with Gina right after dinner."

Saphire moaned a bit when she was told to slow down but sighed and put down the bowl, taking up her chop sticks and starting to scoop out the noodles. She didn't like going to bed early, and she wanted to watch her mommy's match. She was her good luck charm, she was always there whenever she was battling. But if she was trying to lose then should she be there? She looked down at her feet and picked up the Eevee that had decided to curl up there, putting her in her lap and gently petting her.

Gina's mouth just about dropped open. He became a trainer? I'm falling behind... I'll talk to her about it tomorrow but I am going to become a trainer. And soon.[/color] She took her surprised back and just scowled slightly. She was still grounded for the reporter incident. She'd forgotten about that... guess she was going to miss the contest. Which she really didn't see as all that fair....
