The rumble of hundreds of conversations being carried on at once reverberated through the Goldenrod Tram station. So loud were the thousands of voices that one could feel the weight of all their words pressing down on them. Just entering the crowded station was exhausting because the force of so many words, and the damp heat made by hundreds of bodies being pressed toward one another.
Dozens of station employees were constantly buzzing about hte area, most trying to deal with difficult travelers or messes left by the massive amount of people that entered and exited the station each day. Each empoyee looked hagard, and disapointed with themselves, the world, and mostly humanity as a whole. No doubt here in Goldenrod the men and women that worked at the station saw some of Johto's worst, and most of it's "elite". SO they constantly saw how disgusting human could be when they wanted to be.
For a country boy like Kael Templar the station was an incredibly opressive place. It reaked of hundreds of people prespiring, and of much less pleasant liqueds. The boy was generally very calm and collected, never one to feel irked or even real disgruntled, but the place made every part of the teen feel wrong. With so many people crammed together, each absorbed in their own little world that rarely involved any of the people around them it was impossible for a person to gather their bearings in the station. Or rather it was impossible for Kael to gather his bearings.
Kael stood at the far end of the station platform, his regularly smooth and worriless face now furroyed with annoyance and weariness. The teen had arrived at the station two hours prior, with his new friend Renji practically attatched to his jacket. At first the seventeen-year-old had been rather happy and played with the mankey, but as more and more people piled into the station and less and less room was made avaliable to the boy his mood had steadily begun to decline. Then when the lad had to stand and listen to a baby wail for half an hour before his mother silenced him the teen lost all of his content attitude and became irked by the entire area.
With a ear shattering screach a sleek bullet train pulled into the station, it's brakes sending sparks cassading across the tracks. Countless men and women pressed onto the trams. Some would be visiting Kanto for business, or vacation, but most would be either commuting back to their homes or would likely be going to Cherrywood or Olivine for business. With a slightly disapointed look the teenager turned to the small mankey that was attached to his shoulder, "It looks like you'll have to be going away for a while so that I can ride the train. Goodbye new friend." With a sad look from the monkey type pokemon the blond haired teen raised his pokeball and a red light took away his companion.
With a few cautious steps the teen stepped onto the tram that would take him to Olivine. Originally the teen had intended to head to Cherrygrove once his journey had started but when the teen had tried to leave his father's home the man made Kael promise to come back to the ranch before he began his journey so that Gareth would be able to meet whatever pokemon would be protecting his son from then on. At first he boy had tried to refuse, but after two hours of arguing he finally gave in to his stubborn father.
